The most popular answer was “Nasi lengko”, which is the common local dish/meal.
Followed by “Jatisura”, which pertains to their village,
and “batik”, a type of local cloth that they commonly use and an export product of Indonesia.

Word Cloud is a piece on the spirit of the people in the community of Jatisura, which is home to old and new clay tile factories. A few of them were polled – in the street, in their houses, and in the base of the Jatiwangi Art Factory. Their responses to a short questionnaire of key words and phrases were translated into a Word Cloud, the one that is often seen in blogs these days.
Word Cloud is one of three pieces that the artist created for the Wear of Needs during her residency in Jatiwangi Art Factory.
