I was itching to know what Mae has sent me through the mail, across the Pacific. Now I know it is a postcard of her piece “Seasons Change” for the Wear of Needs Series. Despite counting myself as very close to her, I did not really dwell before on the thought that an economist (in her other if not past life) like Mae, has a heart for an art that draws its attention to some troubling aspects of contemporary society.
